About the Artist

Mary Tricia Burns has lived in the Central Texas Hill Country for most of her adult life. Educated in cell biology, and with a life long love of native plants, birds, and animals, she enjoys painting and drawing from life around her. "To paint nature allows me to observe and study it intimately, discovering hidden treasures of beauty and design that are easily overlooked."  Mary's media are watercolor and ceramic underglaze on tile.
